When I was younger, I always pictured myself wearing one of those gorgeous ball gowns that flowed out to homecoming making me feel like a princess. At first, that’s the kind of dress I wanted, but after looking through tons of dresses, I changed my mind. Although now I’m a junior in high school, I already have an image of what kind of dress I’d like to wear for the homecoming of my graduation year. Then again, that image can always change.
Keep in mind that this is YOUR homecoming and YOUR homecoming dress. There can be hundreds of girls in different magazines wearing beautiful dresses, but they aren’t you. Plan ahead on what kind of style, color, or idea you have in mind, and what kind of dress you want, but be willing to be flexible. Think about the details. Are you aiming for simple or extravagant? Colorful or solid?
The great thing about dresses is that there are so many different unique designs that can look great on you. Even if you have your mind set on that one special dress, it doesn’t hurt to go out and browse through different styles. Besides, the fun part about dress shopping is trying on all of those gorgeous dresses! Be sure to find a dress that not only suits you, but make sure it’s comfortable too!
